7:00 pm – The board of directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:

·         John Hiser has volunteered to renew the CMP for the club.

7:32 pm – Meeting was called to order.

Introduction of Officers:  Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership(absent), James Hacke- Secretary, Joe Urish- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Horstman- Trap, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.

Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report and reviewed the 2023 year’s end report.

Bills and Communications:  Chris paid out $89 for building maintenance and $66 for stamps for the membership department. 

Pop: Nothing to report this week.

Rental Committee Report:  Troop 33 from the Boy Scouts of America will be using the hall on Jan 19, 20, and 21. Feb 17th there is a pistol class from 5-7 pm.  March 2nd hall rented.

Pistol Team:  Joe announced that Brian Dean had passed away.  Took in $159, expenses $104, kept $17, turned in $38.  The pistol team is currently shooting on Thursday nights. 

Trap Team:  Tom reported for practice shot from Sept. 12th through Oct. 24th. Trap brought in $216, expenses $162.50, kept $15.50, and turned in $38.  The winter trap league shoots every Sunday and will conclude on February 11th.    The shooting begins around noon and continues till about 4 pm. 

Black Powder / Meat Shoots:  Mike took in $120, expenses $60, kept $18, and turned in $42.  This year’s Frolic will be on March 23.    

Junior Rifle Team:  Mike Ripley said there are about 5-6 shooters showing up regularly.  They shoot every Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 pm.    

Archery: 

Fun Indoor Shoot:  Barry took in $70, expenses $20, and turned in $50The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am with the first shoot starting around 10 am.    

Rifle:  Al will host a steel egg shoot at the 100-yard rifle range for .22 caliber rifles on Saturday, January 27th.   Shooting will begin around 10 am. 

Membership:   Steve filled in for Brian and took in $2,421, maintenance fund $250, general fund $2,171. Key cards were $70.  The total membership is ? of which consist of ? senior/life charter members.  There are ? new members for the 2024 year. 

Old Business:  Steve announced that he installed a new fire extinguisher in the hall and inside the detached garage.  As always please be cautious so as to not impact anything other than the backstops on the ranges indoors and outdoors.  Steve said that on January 27th and 28th the floors inside the building will be refinished so there will be no access allowed inside the building on those days. Matt Siegfried proposed a plan for a 3-gun shoot to be held at the club.  This will be under review and voted on by the board of directors. 

New Business:  The 100-yard backstop at the rifle range will need some attention soon.  Matt S. said he could help with that project when the work is to be done.  Reminder to always carry your current active membership card with you while at the club.
